Timmpi & L’Aéronef
Bringing physical audio to those who are deaf or have limited hearing. It’s the feeling that matters!
Since 1989, the Aéronef, concert hall in Lille (France) has been defending the colors of current music. From rock to reggae, from jazz to electro, but also cutting-edge and innovative music, the concert hall offers a high quality and eclectic schedule to an ever-increasing audience. But the Aéronef is also of one the major players in cultural transmission and helping young creators. It’s one of these multidisciplinary places in which the diversity of audience is combined with the mixity of artistic practises.
The pleasure of live music and concert experience are not only related to the thrill of the ears! This statement – which seems to be the basis of our new collaboration with TIMMPI – initially led the Aéronef to think about the accessibility of its place and programmation to the deaf and hard of hearing people. This is the birth of a new project: FREE SON. The first feedbacks are unanimous: the SubPac makes the perception and the apprehension of the music easier.
Autonomous and discreet, it enriches the experience of a live concert.
Non only this new collaboration will highlight the possibillity for the deaf and hard hearing people to access this technology for all scheduled concerts by the Aéronef, but it’ll also be the possibility to occasionnally broaden the experience to all the Aéronef audiences and artists.
